Ulaanbaatar is considered as the most polluted city in the world in terms of level of particulate matter per cubic meter. PM 2.5 and 10 can affect human lung and heart severely through penetrating into blood circulation of the body.
World Health Organization determined that the current situation of Ulaanbaatar's air pollution is 10 times worse than international standard and current level of air pollution should be reduced by 80% in order to reach the country's standard level.
